Candice is versed in facilitating creative writing, open dialogue, safer spaces, personal advocacy, and more in a variety of settings. With special attention and time given to young people of color, Candice's workshops are centered on honoring intersectional identity, making personal connections, and creating with the intent to liberate oneself through the act of using writing to unpack, re-imagine, and build. Workshops are often in partnership with arts-integration orgs throughout the NYC metropolitan area but 60, 90, and 120 minute sessions can be booked directly here.

With equal commitment to youth education and mentorship, Candice is trained in Arts-Integration, Culturally Responsive Pedagogy, Creative Curriculum Development, Race/Rights/Responsibility, Working with Children Exposed to Domestic Violence, and more. Specifically designed to foster hope, nurture creativity, and transcend fear, Candice's creative writing workshops use contemporary poetry, young adult fiction, and creative nonfiction to give young people the opportunity to see and envision themselves in multiple story lines.
